Rollology

I am a rollologist, somebody who specialises in rolls and establishing whether rolls are rolls based on whether they roll or not.
Particularly us rollologists were intrigued by the fact that the sausage roll is called a roll yet it does not physically roll therefore does it truly deserve its title. We thought not.

We made a Twitter account and contacted Greggs about their sausage roll after testing the fact that it did not roll down a surface with a gradient. It slid. Hence we wrote to them enquiring about how it should be renamed to sausage slider.

These rolled

These didn't roll

Us rollologists created a ramp and found an optimum gradient of 39 degrees. An optimum had to be found because nothing will roll at a small gradient and everything will roll at a really large gradient.
We made guidelines on the ramp and decided that if the roll rolled out of these guidelines, it isn't a roll. A roll should have a consistent roll.

Rollology is satirising the roll, rolls that we use in our everyday lives so that through experimentation we learn more about what makes a roll.
